While it took me two weeks to put ornaments on the tree (I was exhausted after stringing the lights!), I couldn’t wait to decorate Ford’s nursery. I knew I wanted to continue my family tradition of a tabletop tree in your bedroom. Santa would always leave a present under this tree and it was so fun to wake up and open immediately. Another tradition I’m passing on is the advent calendar. I hung it on his bulletin board and we open a window every morning.

We’re reading Christmas books all month long. The Sweet Smells of Christmas is my favorite! The three board books pictured will make their way into his stocking on Christmas Eve.  He’ll never know, ha!  My mom gave Ford two Christmas themed crib sheets. The flannel is cozy and he definitely looks at the patterns.  Next year I’m going to hang a festive garland like this Fa la la la one!

Today I’m excited to bring you the second game day look in the “Football Friday” series. (If you missed the first one, you can check it out here.) I’m sharing a look from Elaine Turner’s Fall collection. I previewed the new collection a few weeks ago and loved all the rust aka burnt orange. Turns out Elaine is a Longhorn too!

I’m wearing the Marielle Cashmere Poncho. My mom got this similar style with a fun fringe trim. I was originally planning to pair the poncho with these plain suede Sissy Booties. But I think the python adds a fun punch and interest to the outfit. Don’t forget to check out how my friends below are styling their orange! Have a great weekend. Hook’em!
