My 5 For Fall

If my lack of posting is any indication, I haven’t been very inspired to shop. I ordered a few seasonal maternity pieces, hated them, and promptly returned. I was feeling a little frustrated until all the Friends & Family sales came along the past couple weeks. I invested in a few non-maternity items to get me thru Fall/Winter. 1. Fall Florals – I ordered 6 dresses during one sale and this Frame Smocked Shift dress was the only winner! Since it’s a loose fit, I ordered my normal size. It has the smocked detail that I’m seeing so much of at the neck and sleeves. I also love that its’ a light background so I can wear it in January & February too without feeling so dark & wintery. So far I’ve worn it with tall flat brown boots but I also see pairing it with my black fur vest, tights, and booties.

2. Knit Sweater – I’ve been eyeing this A.L.C. Intarsia Sweater since August! I love the unique color combo and the brown accents will pair perfectly with my leather pants next year. I’ll be wearing them with my AG Skinny Legging Maternity Jeans for now (non-maternity here)! Again, this was a relaxed fit and longer length, so I ordered my normal size. It also comes in a neutral pattern!

3. Blush Booties – Pink is everywhere this Fall! And I am loving it! It’s refreshing! I haven’t pulled the trigger yet because I am debating between the High Gabriella Boots and the Lea Booties both by French brand Sezane. Which is your favorite?

4. Animal Print – I already own plenty of leopard (sweater, several shoes) so I opted for snakeskin this season. This Rebecca Taylor Shift Dress fit the bill for church, events, and work! See how I styled it here for church with my classic open-toed heels (budget friendly version here).

5. Black Tote –  It’s hard to believe I don’t own a black purse! (I have a clutch but not a bag.) I am hard on my purses. I just own a few and so wear them daily and put a lot in them for work and mom life.  I am considering these two under $200 totes: Madewell Transport Tote or Cuyana Classic Leather Tote.
