Covered-Button Crepe Blouse | Classic Silk Blouse | Tissue Turtleneck Tee
Nylon Hooded Bomber | Regent Blazer | Majesty Peacoat
I definitely got caught up in the shopping frenzy of all the recent Friends & Family sales. In the era of free shipping & returns, it doesn’t hurt to try out a new trend or order multiple sizes (especially when items are 20-30% off). I ordered a lot but I also returned a lot.
What I returned…
J.Crew Regent Blazer – super cute and I highly recommend if you can find the right size! I ordered the 00 which was too tight across the back and the 0 too long in the arms. I think the petite 0 would have been perfect if it wasn’t sold out…
J.Crew Silk Blouse – a closet staple but the current style is too long for me. I like the idea of a longer hem in the back but this style fits more like a tunic than a top. Same goes for J.Crew’s covered-button crepe blouse. However, I think the extra length would make them both great maternity tops!
What I kept…
J.Crew Majesty Peacoat – My coats currently consist of dressy long coats or hunting jackets. I needed something in between! Just like a navy blazer, this navy peacoat goes with pretty much everything and I love the gold buttons.
J.Crew Tissue Turtleneck – Scott can’t believe turtlenecks are in style. He kept asking me if I was going to a French cafe, ha! These turtlenecks are very fitted & thin which makes them ideal for layering (but you need to size up). I like to wear them under short sleeve dresses to expand my winter wardrobe options. At only $25 during the sale, I bought one in spice for game day and one in navy (and already own it in black). I wore the navy to casual Friday recently with skinny jeans and leopard kitten heels.
The jury is still out on the nylon hooded bomber. I can’t decide if the oversized fit is casual cool or too overwhelming. Good news! You can still get 25% off full-price styles with code TGIFALL thru Sunday.
