I’ve been working at my new oil & gas job about 3 months now. The dress code is business casual. I recently invested in a few new pieces for my work wardrobe. I wear one of two work “uniforms”: a solid colored dress or a silk blouse with skinny pants. Having a work wardrobe, makes it easier on me in the mornings. And the clothes aren’t necessarily restricted to work…I wear the dresses to church and the blouses with jeans.
J.Crew is my go-to for work essentials (remember this look?). They stock a great selection in their Wear-To-Work Shop. And always have a sale! I recently bought 3 new dresses in 3 different styles: the pleated sheath dress in tropical marine, the resume dress in vivid flamingo and the portfolio dress in misty twilight. While I bought some bright Spring colors, these styles are also offered in more conservative neutrals.
J.Crew also has a great selection of classic heels to pair with dresses. However, lately I’ve been wearing these Sam Edelman sandals non-stop! I just bought this scalloped style in the prettiest pale pink.
